You mean if he's targeting the Garland plan?

Right or wrong, I get super excited every time I see this thread pop up to the top. Thanks Belfield.

Was waiting to see an update on this. He needs to make a decision quick... From an unnameable but reliable source, sounds like he could go to CC or something for a semester and then enroll in the fall and have 2 full years. Don't take that to the grave though.

Couldn't he do that anyway if he enrolled but just didn't play until 2018-19?

Wouldn't someone have to leave/not come for there to be room for him?

Oh, you mean next year, don't you? Three incoming, two outgoing as it stands right now. You're right.

Senior: Stukes, Shuler, BJ, Henry, Washington, Yevgen Junior: Powell Soph: Deas, Phiri R-Fresh: Sullivan
Out: Price, Roberts
In: Brookins, Joseph, Moultrie
That's 13 total for 2017-18.

Interesting. I think he would be a great get, but as noted, it doesnt seem like there is a scholarship open. Hate to speculate, but maybe theres a connection with Moultrie's situation and him visiting?

I'm not speculating on the "who", but if he's in for an official, we must be positive someone is either going or not coming.

This again plays to the possibility he goes somewhere else for 1 year. We graduate a whole bunch. And he's eligible to play 2 years starting in 2018 with a wide open roster.

On the Hawk board today Delgreco Wilson (whatever you think, the guy is pretty wired) said it is very, very, very, very, very likely that Carter winds up at La Salle

If Traci Carter were to transfer to La Salle do we even have an open scholarship available?

My guess someone is transferring after this season. My guess would be Yevgen he has only played in 9 games and is averaging less than 5 mins in those games. Maybe he goes home to Ukraine? Just speculation but he is not getting any playing time.

If Traci Carter were to transfer to La Salle do we even have an open scholarship available? Hank is on scholarship. Three schollies out, three in. Carter won't enroll until the summer, and sit out the extra semester for 2 year eligibility. Enough with the speculation of transferring out. Yevgen only has one year left. Not a candidate to transfer IMO. This would be the only time I can remember G using his full allotment of schollies. Really nice to see the depth of a full roster.

Even if Carter sits out next year he will need to take up a scholarship. Transfers count against scholarship totals during the year they sit out. So back to speculating.

I'm sure it will work out. If Traci wants to be at La Salle, admin will make it work.

So he's a Stukes/Shuler replacement in that scenario.

So he's a Stukes/Shuler replacement in that scenario. I would take that in an absolute heartbeat. I love Stukes but the idea of Carter, Moultrie and Powell in the backcourt in 2018-19 is very appealing to me. Now we need some beef inside.

Stukes is an excellent student and will likely graduate in May. I doubt that he would go. Johnson and Henry will also finish 4 years in college this year and may be eligible to transfer although I doubt that either would leave. That leaves Sakniuk. Although he will have only 3 years here I don't know what his academic standing was coming from a European system. I forgot about Washington who will also finish 4 years in college after this season. The point is that someone has to go from the 13 scholarships that will be there next year for Carter to enroll with a basketball scholarship this summer.

If Carter comes, and sits out all of next year per transfer rules, it would have to be on his families dime. Unless someone leaves unexpectedly. Here is our list of players doe 2017-18 via the scholarship tree thread spreadsheet
2017-2018 Amar Stukes Johnnie Shuler Pookie Powell Saul Phiri Isiah Deas B.J. Johnson Yevgen Sakhniuk Demetrius Henry Tony Washington Cian Sullivan Miles Brookins Jamir Moultrie Dajour Joseph
2018-2019 Pookie Powell Saul Phiri Isiah Deas Cian Sullivan Miles Brookins Jamir Moultrie Dajour Joseph

I think he found a hidden immunity idol somewhere deep inside the TGA.
