First of all, for the best preview yearbook in the business, check out blueribbonyearbookonline.com (it's worth the higher cost if you're a junkie). Haven't dug into the whole guide yet, but checked out the La Salle preview. La Salle write up was by Brendan Quinn (whom covered us at the Bulletin previously, IIRC, and now works out in Ann Arbor). Great anecdote on Steve rounding up the team for early conditioning and shifting focus to 2014-15 as soon as the team returned from Brooklyn. Found this interesting, as well. Hopefully they can routinely make it to that under 16 TO w/o one of them having 2 fouls already: "La Salle will stick with Wright and Zack as starters in 2014-15 and sub out one at the first media timeout, shifting to a four-guard look —a style used the past two years. The production and mismatches created by playing two big men, whether for or against La Salle, then will dictate how much of the two-post look the team implements." Unlike last year, I think we can pull off such a look, while maintaining a little bit of size (due to Price/Cleon size). Hopefully they can chip in on the glass. G had some very nice things to say about Stukes, Shuler and Cleon and seems sold on Price as an all-conference type due to his commitment to conditioning. Can't wait to read up on our opponents when I get a chance.

Last time we had a transfer who was into conditioning, some pretty good things happened for us ;-)

The season just boils down to efficiency. Our offensive struggles last year boiled down to Ty Garland's jump shot not developing and Duren's injury preventing him from really getting going. We missed a lot more shots than the Sweet 16 year and didn't have the rebounding to make up that differential.
I'm really interested in knowing what our rebounding differential will look like this season. It feels like this team is built in a more traditional fashion than in previous years. Price and Cleon both have some size. They might be closer to Rodney than Ramon in terms of what they can bring to the court.
I really wish we could just fast-forward a few weeks. The Phillies were out of contention the first week of May and I'm not a football fan.
